Canada World Youth
Discover another country and another part of Canada. Learn about social justice and development issues. live and work with people from other cultures to acquire practical work experience. Leadership and language skills AND gain credit for a post-secondary course or program.
Katimavik
Organizes a variety of work projects for youth in host communities across Canada. Youth can expect to volunteer 25 hours per week, try out new experiences, environments and make a real contribution to the communities.
Encounters Canada
Youth program considered the foremost citizenship program in the country. The purpose of the program is to give the students a one week experience in Ottawa where they participate in a multitude of activities, develop their autonomy, meet new and extraordinary people, and visit outstanding places. The cost of the experience is $675. This includes a roudntrip airfare to Ottawa, room and board at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre and local transportation for excursions. Forum for Young Canadians
Spend a week on Parliament Hill! This nonpartisan program is to develop leadership and to learn about parliamentary democracy, how government works and how you can make a difference in shaping Canada's future.
Who: Up to 125 (aged 15-19) from across Canada. Groups of 15 students are escorted and supervised throughout by adult leaders.
Where: Ottawa
When: students participate in one of four sessions in February, March or April. Each session is 5 days long.
